Purchase, NY (Apr. 30, 2012) – Purchase's dynamic tandem of Brenden Keeling and Jeremyah Schur were named to the Skyline Conference Men's Tennis All-Skyline 1^st Team today, the league office announced.
 
The two, who starred together in first doubles, led the Panthers to the Skyline championship this spring. Individually, Keeling (JR/Ontario, Canada) dominated at first singles, while Schur (FR/Forest Hills, NY) sparkled at second singles en route to being named the Skyline's Co-Rookie of the Year Monday.
 
Freshman Justin Vijungco of Farmingdale State has been named Player of the Year as voted on by the league's seven head coaches. The Rookie of the Year is shared by Tommy Inouye of NYU-Poly and Schur. The coaches selected Adam Waterhouse of Farmingdale State as Coach of the Year. The Sage Colleges earned the Team Sportsmanship Award from its peers.
 
Inouye, a freshman from Danbury, CT, had a perfect 11-0 league mark in singles, mostly at No. 3 singles, including 6-0 in Skyline play. He was also unblemished in doubles – 11-0 at No. 2 overall and 6-0 in conference matches, as he helped NYU-Poly to the regular season crown with a 6-0 mark.
 
Schur posted a sterling 10-2 singles mark in the regular season. He was 5-1 in league singles matches, helping Purchase to a 3-3 Skyline mark and an 11-6 overall record.
 
Keeling went an impressive 9-2 overall on the regular season at No. 1. Even more impressively, Keeling went 7-0 at first singles in conference play, defeating each of the team's No. 1 players.  
 
The 2012 All-Conference First Team consists of Vijungco, FSC's Christian Bormann, Zach Charles of Yeshiva, Yan Krasny of NYU-POLY, Inouye, Keeling and Schur.  
 
The Second Team is composed of Alex Bessarabov and Ryan Musalo of Farmingdale State, Adam Friel and Ken Kadar of St. Joseph's – L.I., Greg Jacob of Mount Saint Mary, and Chris Lysiuk of NYU-Poly.
