Teofilo Ramirez will serve as captains of the Panthers for the upcoming 2016 season.
LaPorte (Farmington, CT) started behind the plate in 20 of Purchase's 26 games in 2015 and tallied an impressive 89 putouts and 19 assists. He batted .250 for the season, went 5-5 in stolen bases, and was named to the 2015 All-Skyline Second Team.
Chavez (Queens, NY) played in all 26 games for Purchase and led the team with the most at-bats (82). He averaged .317 at the plate and recorded 26 hits and 17 RBI.
Kulbaba (Suffern, NY) was a top hitting contender for the Panthers in 2015. He batted a notable .412 during junior year, appearing in 13 games for Purchase.
Ramirez (Queens, NY) hit .380 with eight doubles, 17 RBI and five stolen bases in 2015. He started in 20 games for Purchase where he tallied 20 putouts and 65 assists.
"These young men embody what it is to be a Panther," said Coach Taraska. "Their reliability and accountability exemplify how we would want all of our players to act. They lead by example both on the field and off and I am confident this group will lead our team to big things this year."
The Panthers will open their 2016 season at home with a doubleheader against Worcester State on March 5.
