Purchase College Athletics

Angela Assal (FR/Bronx, NY) earned a 6-0, 6-4 win at No. 1 singles on Sept. 24 in leading Purchase to a 7-2 win over Sage. She added another singles and doubles win at Western Connecticut later in the week as Purchase topped WestConn, 9-0. She finished the week 2-0 in singles and 1-1 in doubles play, including the 8-2 teaming at No. 1 doubles at WCSU.

She was later named the Skyline Rookie of the Week and the PC Student-Athlete of the Week.
