Another week, another honor for red-hot goal scorer Blaise Bourgeois. He has been named the Skyline Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week, the league office announced late Monday night.
He has also been named the Purchase College Student-Athlete of the Week, joining Ashley Panepinto in the recognition.
Bourgeois (SO/Rochester, NY), who started the week as second in the nation for DIII players in points per game, added a goal in each of his three games on the week – more than enough to earn the distinction as the league's best player for the week ending Oct. 2.
The high-scoring forward netted a beautiful, game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory over conference foe Farmingdale State, and also scored the GW goal in a 3-0 win over Mt. St. Vincent.
