Michael Sarni's two-run single in the fifth inning on Apr. 18 proved to be the difference as first-place Purchase edged Farmingdale State, 3-2. The second baseman went 3 for 5 in the Panthers' 2-1 loss to FSC in game two of the twin bill. For the week, Sarni (SR/Shelton, CT) batted .417 with three stolen bases. He hit safely in all three games and did not commit an error.

He was later named the Skyline Player of the Week and the Purchase College Student-Athlete of the Week.
