Joel Neri (SR/Port Chester, NY) been named the Skyline Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week. He has also been named to the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association (MBWA) DIII Honorable Mention for player of the week and the Purchase College Student-Athlete of the Week, joining women's swim star Melissa Trail (SR/Pound Ridge, NY) in that honor.Â

Neri averaged 18.5 points, 16.0 rebounds and 4.0 blocked shots per game during a two-game week for the Panthers. The Panther center shot 17-for-27 from the floor (.630) while canning all three of his free-throw attempts. After opening the week with a 12-point, 11-board, six-block (season-high) effort versus Sage, Neri scored his 1,000th career point in a "20-20" game against St. Joseph's-Brooklyn with 25 points (12-for-17 FG, .706), 21 rebounds and two blocked shots.
