Deshawn Cann (SO/Queens, NY) averaged 18 points, seven rebounds and five assists per showing on the week.
The always-hustling Cann posted 22 points, eight rebounds and four assists against Ithaca in the Cortaca Classic finale Saturday. He and the Panthers are 2-1 on the season, earning wins against Vaughn College and SUNY Cortland, while dropping a narrow two-point decision to Ithaca in the ultra-competitive classic.
Cann was later named to the Skyline honor roll for player of the week and shares the Purchase College Student-Athlete of the Week with women's basketball standout Kayla Ortiz (JR/Brooklyn, NY).
