Maddy Mecca ’21 is a two-sport athlete (lacrosse/soccer) majoring in communications with a minor in history.
Lacrosse
2020: Mecca, a starting midfielder, opened the season with a career-best performance in an 18-2 win over Centenary on March 6th…She finished with seven goals, three assists, nine shots on goal, seven ground balls, four draw controls and two caused turnovers . The 10 points were a career-high for Mecca, who was named to the Skyline Conference Weekly Honor Roll following the performance. Unfortunately, the Panthers only competed in that one game as the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
2019: Mecca started in all 11 games for PC during her sophomore campaign…She finished the season with 20 goals and seven assists for a combined 27 points…She led the Panthers in ground balls (30) and tied for team-high in draw controls (35).
2018: Mecca started in all 13 games as a freshman…She finished the season with 19 goals and 11 assists for a combined 30 points…She totaled 23 ground balls, 10 caused turnovers and seven draw controls.
Soccer
2019: Mecca started in all 15 games at the forward position...She finished with one goal, three assists, seven shots (five on goal) and logged 1,025 minutes played ...Mecca was named to the Skyline Conference Sportsmanship Team at the end of the season.
2018: Mecca appeared in all 14 games with 12 starts...She collected an assist against Old Westbury on Oct. 24 and took six shots in 784 minutes of action.
