Purchase College Athletics

Taimu Tomita (FR/Higashiyama, Japan) was named the Skyline Rookie of the Week and is also the Purchase College Student-Athlete of the Week. 

Tomita posted a 6-1, 6-2 victory at the No. 5 singles flight and added an 8-1 win at third doubles on Mar. 29 as Purchase earned a 9-0 victory over St. Joseph's-LI. The rookie claimed a hard-fought 2-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-8) win at sixth singles on Mar. 25 in the Panthers' 7-2 loss to Yeshiva University. 

Tomita remains undefeated on the season in singles action.
