Clive Griffiths (JR/Bronx, NY) broke the tape at the season-opening Baruch Invitational on Sunday, pacing the 88-runner field with an 8,000- meter winning time of 29:45.

The Purchase ace aided the Panthers' efforts on the day, as head coach Liam McGuirk's squad placed first.

In the process, he has been named Skyline Conference Runner of the Week and Purchase College Student-Athlete of the Week.
