Slugging first baseman Christine Leo has been named Skyline Rookie of the Week.

In addition to helping Purchase win its final four games of the regular season, Leo (FR/Monroe, CT) takes home her first Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week in the final week of the spring. The announcement came down from the conference office late Monday night.

Leo batted .692 (9-for-13) with nine runs scored and nine RBI. Purchase swept CNR and John Jay to close the season. She added four steals and a pair of weeks, running away with the Skyline’s top weekly rookie honor.

Among the regulars, Leo batted a team-best .448.
