Samir Mekrami (SO/Brooklyn, NY) was outstanding in a pair of meets last week. He led the Panthers to a win over Brooklyn by winning three events – 500 free (6:02.42), 1,000 free (121:39.18), and 200 IM (2:36.10). He also won the 1,000 free against Old Westbury in a close loss.

He was later named the Skyline Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week. He also takes home the PC Student-Athlete of the Week. Both honors are firsts of his Purchase career.
