Andre Nixon (JR/Harlem, NY) was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Hampton Inn/Naismith Classic after averaging 19.0 points and 4.5 rebounds in leading the Panthers to victories over Roger Williams (58-51) and host Springfield (69-65). He added six three-point field goals, five assists and five steals and was a perfect 12 of 12 from the foul line. He also garnered an All-Tournament team recognition to go with MOP honors.

Nixon scored the go-ahead basket with 2.6 seconds remaining on Jan. 2 in the title game win versus Springfield.

For his performances, Nixon has been named the Skyline Player of the Week and the PC Student-Athlete of the Week.
