Head Coach: Andreea Oncioiu (1st Year)

Oncioiu enters her first season as head coach of the women's tennis program following three seasons as the team's top assistant coach. She replaces former head coach Patricia Troiano for the 2013 fall season.

Oncioiu has over 15 years of coaching, teaching and playing experience. Born in Romania, she came to the United States after high school for her undergraduate and graduate degrees. She earned a master's degree in engineering while also playing tennis at Cooper Union in New York.

Oncioiu, who holds a certification as a provisional umpire for the United States Tennis Association, comes to Purchase from Queensborough Community College where she worked with many of the students on improving their individual skills in addition to guiding the college’s team as their top assistant.
