Bronx, NY (Oct. 10, 2010) – Purchase bounced back from a sweep at USMMA by handing a pair of shutout wins to rival Maritime and Yeshiva Sunday in a tri-match at Maritime.

The Panthers defeated Yeshiva and the host Privateers 3-0 at Riesenberg Hall Gymnasium.
Purchase (6-7, 2-2 Skyline Conference) topped the Maccabees 25-12, 25-14 and 25-12. The Panthers defeated Maritime by scores of 25-18, 25-16, 25-9.

Against Yeshiva, Rebecca Dittler (JR/Elmira Heights, NY) was masterful. She finished with 16 kills and five digs. Michelle Fetky (SR/Lk. Ronkonkoma, NY) also finished in double figure kills, recording 10 in the win.

Setter Mickaela Olson (JR/Glen Cove, NY), who has looked very strong of late in returning to her primary spot in the rotation, handed out a match-high 36 assists.

Olivia Hintz (JR/East Aurora, NY) paced the Panthers defensively with 24 digs.

Olson dished out 26 assists in the win over Maritime. Hintz led the way offensively with 11 kills. Fetky followed with seven. Dittler recorded 10 digs.
