Bronx, NY (Oct. 12, 2011) – Purchase women's volleyball turned in their best performance of the fall Wednesday night, roaring back from a first-set loss to host SUNY Maritime before winning the final three sets and match.

The Panthers defeated Maritime 3-1 at the Riesenberg Hall Gymnasium. The defeat drops the Privateers to 4-11 overall (1-6 Skyline), while the Panthers improve to 5-8 (2-4 Skyline). Over the final three sets, Purchase won 25-13, 25-19, 25-22 after losing the opener, 25-21.

Olivia Hintz (SR/East Aurora, NY) recorded a double-double with a match high 15 kills and 11 digs. Two other Panthers recorded double-digit kills, as Lindsay Froman (SR/Medina, NY) also had a double-double with 11 kills and 10 digs and Cathryn Mulvey (SO/Scarsdale, NY) registered 12 kills. Katie Westervelt (FR/Congers, NY) had a match-high 34 assists.

In defeat, Lauren Johnson led Maritime, recording a team-high nine kills and seven digs.
