Patchogue, NY (Oct. 22, 2011) – The Purchase College women's volleyball team lost two matches Saturday at St. Joseph's College-LI.

The Panthers lost to the hosts and also dropped a three set match to Mount Saint Mary. Against powerhouse SJC-LI, Purchase fell 25-11, 30-28, 30-28 in another very close loss. The Golden Eagles are 14-9 overall and a perfect 7-0 in conference play. Olivia Hintz (SR/East Auroa, NY) and Lindsay Froman (SR/Medina, NY) paced the Panthers in that match, each sharing the match-high with 10 kills. Setter Katie Westervelt (FR/Congers, NY) added 25 assists. Nicole Redding led SJC-LI with nine kills.

Later in the afternoon, Purchase fell 25-7, 25-8, 25-15 in three to the Mount. MSMC, another league power, was paced by Courtney Kenney and her eight kills. Hintz recorded five kills in that match.

The Panthers are now 5-11 and 2-6 in conference play. They will conclude the season at Mt. St. Vincent Saturday.
