Annandale-on-Hudson, NY (Sept. 20, 2011) – Bard College's Maddy Huggins made the switch back to forward Tuesday night and the move paid immediate dividends.

The team's leading scorer from last season scored the game's first goal, two minutes and 42 seconds into the contest, leading the Raptors to a 4-0 win over visiting Purchase.

Huggins created a turnover near the corner, dribbled up the goal line and ripped a heavy shot from a tough angle into the goal to spur Bard to victory. Megan Snyder and Alana Shaw added goals soon after Huggins' blast, and it was 3-0 before 10 minutes was gone.   

The Raptors, 3-4, outshot Purchase, 24-4, and dominated possession throughout.

Purchase will try and bounce back Saturday at home when they welcome conference foe Mount Saint Mary to the turf for a noon matchup.
