Queens, NY (Oct. 1, 2012) – York College defeated Purchase 3-1 tonight.

The Cardinals captured a 25-20, 25-12, 18-25, 25-20 victory at home. The win improved York to 5-16 on the season. Purchase is now 1-11.

Co-captain Cathryn Mulvey (JR/Scarsdale, NY) recorded a team-high nine kills in the loss. Rookie Megan Toole (FR/Hamburg, NY) added eight kills, and setter Maggie Brenenstuhl (FR/Schaghticoke, NY) handed out a match-high 25 assists.

Sharon Fordyce led York with a match-high 10 kills, leading the hosts past Purchase.
