Newburgh, NY (Oct. 13, 2012) – Mount Saint Mary College rookie Shanice Robe scored three goals for the second straight game, leading her team to a 3-0 victory over Purchase College in a Skyline Conference game on Saturday. 

The Knights move to 11-2-1 overall (6-0-0 Skyline).

A scoreless first half was highlighted by one stellar chance by the Mount.  In the 14th minute, Lindsey Oro played a corner kick into the box where Robe headed a shot on net.

Purchase (7-7, 4-3 Skyline) opened the second half with its first legitimate chance of the game.  A diagonal ball from the midfield found its way to the top of the box, but Mount adjusted and cleared the shot.

Less than two minutes later, Robe broke through for the game's first goal. Robe picked up her second tally in the 65th minute and the outstanding freshman finished off the hat trick just two minutes later.

For Purchase, Kristy Colangelo (FR/Staten Island, NY) played very well in net. The rookie finished with eight saves.
