Troy, NY (Oct. 3, 2012) – Sage upended first-place Purchase 4-0 Wednesday night at RPI's Renwyck Field. 

The Gators came out and recorded the key conference win to improve to 3-6 overall and 3-1 in the league. The loss puts Purchase at 5-5 overall and 3-1 in the Skyline Conference.

Sage jumped out to an early lead as rookie Nicole Maher put the Gators up 1-0 with her goal at 6:57 on a feed from as midfielder Gianna Sergovich. Maher scored again on a feed from rookie Kyleigh Roby at 8:26. Maher would finish the night with five points after assisting on the team's third goal.

Sage's Sara Tironi added the team's final goal of the first half and gave Sage a 3-0 halftime lead. Later, midfielder Kelsey Woron converted the cross from Tironi at 57:44 to wrap the Gators' scoring on the night.

Looking to bounce back, Purchase will now face conference foe SJC-LI on the road Saturday at 1 p.m.
