Farmingdale, NY (Sept. 22, 2012) – Women's volleyball dropped both ends of a quad-match Saturday on the road, losing two matches in conference.

The Panthers fell short to Farmingdale State and SUNY College at Old Westbury in today's Skyline quad, hosted by the Rams. 

In the match against Old Westbury, co-captain Jenna Nardi (SO/Yorktown Heights, NY) led the team with seven kills. The Panthers fought back in the third set, tying the score, before Old Westbury pulled out the two-point win. Old Westbury posted a 25-12, 25-15, 28-26 final.

In the second match, Purchase (1-8, 0-3 Skyline) struggled to keep up with opposing Farmingdale State.  The Rams' Sarah Palladino posted a team-high 12 kills, while outside hitter Holly Sahner finished with 11 kills. Megan Toole (FR/Hamburg, NY) paced Purchase with four kills and six digs. Set scores for the winners were 25-14, 25-13, 25-12.  

In the other two matches, Farmingdale topped Maritime, 3-0, and Old Westbury defeated Maritime, 3-0.  

The Panthers will try and bounce back next week on the road at Sarah Lawrence.
