Wayne, NJ (Oct. 17, 2013) – Outside hitter Mary Long posted a match-best 12 kills as the William Paterson volleyball team defeated visiting Purchase 3-0 (25-11, 25-9, 25-22).

William Paterson improved to 14-5, dropping Purchase to 6-9 in the non-conference tilt.

Long added 10 digs and three service aces, while setter Danielle Koukos collected 29 assists, three aces and 10 digs and middle hitter Shauna VanDeRee posted 10 kills and six digs for the hosts.

For the Panthers, Alicia McCarthy (FR/Plano, TX) led Purchase with 10 kills. Olivia Schoeller (FR/Ronkonkoma, NY) dished out 22 assists and classmate Alex Lally (FR/Sunnyvale, TX) contributed 12 digs.
