(Oct. 8, 2014) – The Purchase women's soccer team saw its first Skyline Conference loss after falling to Sage College, 3-1, on Wednesday at Lansingburgh High School.
The Gators improved to 6-3-2 overall and 3-1 in the league, while Purchase dropped to 5-5 and 2-1 in the league.
Junior co-captain Nicole Maher gave Sage a 1-0 lead with her fourth goal of the season. She scored at 13:13 on a feed from junior Shelby Ruppenthal as she tallied her 53rd career point.
In the second half, Sage's Taylor Lynch scored her second goal of the season as she converted the feed from rookie Shelby Sarraino at 53:39. Skyline Conference and ECAC Division III Metro Player of the Week, sophomore forward Savannah Mason added her team-leading 11th goal of the season as she had a break away and gave the Gators a 3-0 lead at 72:51.

Kristen Kohn (JR/Morristown, NJ) broke up the shutout bid on a feed from rookie
Emily Saltman (FR/Huntington, NY) at 83:59 as she connected for her second goal of the season.
Panther sophomore
Briana Leon (Glen Cover, NY/Glen Cove) made 11 saves in taking the loss.
Purchase returns to action on Monday, Oct. 13 hosting York College at 7 p.m.
