Old Westbury, NY (Oct. 22, 2015) – Purchase College women's soccer tied SUNY Old Westbury, 2-2, Thursday afternoon in a Skyline Conference double overtime thriller from Panther Park. 

The home team's Melissa Outsen broke the scoring ice in the contest's 26th minute of play after finishing Mayra Bonilla's perfectly placed corner kick with her head to give Old Westbury (8-5-1, 5-2-1 Skyline) an early 1-0 advantage.  With her 11th goal of the season, Outsen extends her team lead in goals and points (29).

Alicia Pirone then doubled Old Westbury's advantage in 29th minute by sending Outsen's rebound into the back of the net for her first-career goal. 

Amanda Green (JR/Roslyn Heights, NY) sliced Purchase's (5-10-1, 4-3-1 Skyline) deficit in half by weaving through Old Westbury's defense in the 58th minute to slip one past goalkeeper Melissa Muller.   

Then in the 71st minute, Emily Saltman (SO/Huntington, NY) sent a cross to Marykate McGee (SR/Oceanside, NY) for the equalizer. 

With the scored tied at 2-2 at the end of regulation, Old Westbury and Purchase entered the first of two overtime periods. 

In the end, Purchase held the edge in shots (19-14) and shots on goal (8-6), while Old Westbury won the battle in corner kicks (9-8). 

Muller collected six saves (6-5-1) and Briana Leon (JR/Glen Cove, NY) (5-10-1) made four in net for Purchase.
