Bronx, NY (Sept. 9, 2015) – Purchase traveled to Lehman Wednesday night to start the 2015 campaign.

The Lightning edged the Panthers in the season-opener, 3-1, taking the match 25-11, 21-25, 25-13 and 25-21. Lehman also defeated Cedar Crest.

In the match against Purchase, Lehman's Salveira Gonzalez led the way with 13 kills, while Imani Dubois produced nine kills, seven aces, seven digs and 22 assists. Lindsay Pantaleon led the way on defense with 10 digs. 

The Panthers were paced by Alex Lally (Sunnyvale, TX), who finished with 11 kills. Jade Hackett (SR/Mount Vernon, NY) and Julia Chirlin (SO/Albany, NY) followed with three apiece. Newcomer Logan Morrissey (FR/Woodbridge, CT) handed out a team-high 10 assists, while returner Lillian Dixon (SO/Jackson, NJ) tallied six digs to lead the program defensively.

Purchase returns to action Thursday night at home against CSI.
