Panthers Conclude Season with First Round Loss to No. 3 CMSV

Riverdale, NY (Oct. 29, 2016) – The Purchase women's soccer 2016 campaign came to a close on Saturday with a 2-0 loss at the hands of No. 3 College of Mount Saint Vincent in the first round of the Skyline Conference Championships.

The win boosted the Mount's record to 13-6, 7-2 Skyline as the Dolphins advance to the semifinal round on Wednesday.

Following a scoreless first half, the Mount's Nicole Weber connected a shot from inside the box that eluded Purchase (5-10-1, 4-4-1 SKY) goalkeeper Rachel Mizrahi (JR/Goldens Bridge, NY) in the 56th minute.

In the 61st minute, Erin Dailey took a through ball from Meaghan Cleary on a break-away and finished with a goal to push the Dolphin lead to 2-0.

The Dolphins had a 26-3 advantage in shots, including 14-1 for shots on goal.

Senior Amanda Green (Roslyn Heights, NY) and junior Emily Saltman (Huntington, NY) combined for the Panthers' three shots, including Green's on-target attempt in the opening minutes of play.

Despite picking up the loss, Mizrahi had an impressive showing with 12 saves in net for the Panthers.
