(Apr. 6, 2016) – The Purchase baseball team advanced to 4-0 in Skyline Conference play with a 12-2 victory over Yeshiva University Wednesday evening.
The Panthers (9-12) scored in every inning to earn the win.
William Kaul (SR/Eastchester, NY),
Teofilo Ramirez (JR/Queens, NY) and
Patrick Rucci (JR/Cortlandt Manor, NY) led the team with two hits apiece and combined for five RBI. Ramirez also tallied an impressive five stolen bases and three runs.
The Maccabees (0-16, 0-6 Skyline) scored both of their runs in the bottom of the fifth. For the contest, Shmuli Goldis collected two hits, while junior outfielder Binyamin Bromberg picked up his first collegiate hit in the bottom of the sixth. Junior outfielder Elan Paul added a single of his own.
Purchase returns to the diamond on Saturday as the Panthers host Mount Saint Mary for a Skyline doubleheader starting at 11 a.m.
