(April 1, 2017) – Stockton University men's lacrosse utilized a hot start en route to a 25-4 win Saturday.
Stockton (10-3, 2-1 Skyline) scored five goals in the first four minutes against Purchase College (0-5, 0-3), which is in its first year of NCAA competition.
Erik Anderson pumped in seven goals and dished three assists for 10 points.
Mike Caposella and Anderson spearheaded the early barrage, with Caposella notching two goals and an assist while Anderson added a goal and two helpers to spark Stockton to a 5-0 lead in less than four minutes.
Purchase got on the board with 8:38 gone before Anderson netted three straight goals followed by one from Mike Drumm for a 9-1 lead after one period.
The Ospreys outscored Purchase 6-1 in the second quarter and dominated the third quarter by the same 6-1 count as the second stanza. The hosts outscored the Panthers 4-1 in the final quarter to close out the victory.
