(Sept. 14, 2017) – A balanced attack helped William Paterson post a 3-0 victory over Purchase College Thursday night at home.
For WP, all 15 players contributed in the win, snapping a two-game losing streak.
In the process, the Pioneers – a strong, non-conference opponent improved to 4-2.
All 15 players on the roster saw time on the court, and nine different players recorded a kill for the Pioneers, whose offensive attack controlled the tempo of the match. Christine Griffith paced the hosts with a season-high 10 kills and 11 digs for her first double-double of the season
The Pioneers scored 13 of the first 14 points to take a commanding lead. After a Panther point to make it 20-7, William Paterson rallied off five consecutive points, followed by a service ace to take set one, 25-7.
It was more of the same for William Paterson the rest of the way, using a 10-0 run in the second set to pull away and took 16 of the final 20 points of the match to break the skid.
Purchase received a team-best four kills from
