Kings Point, NY (April 28, 2018) – Purchase men's lacrosse wrapped its season Saturday on the road at USMMA.

Merchant Marine defeated the visitors 25-8. In the victory, the Mariners improve to 10-2 (6-0 Skyline), while the Panthers end the year 5-9 (1-5 Skyline). 

A total of 14 different players scored a point for USMMA on the day.

For Purchase, Dylan Gethicker (JR/Lime Lake, NY) scored a game-high five goals. James Felix (JR/Scarsdale, NY) and Christian Maldonado (FR/Albany, NY) both had three points each – Felix scoring twice and adding an assist and Maldonado with a goal and one helper.

With his third point of the day on a goal at the 7:14 mark of the first, Nick Treon became the USMMA men's lax program's all-time leader in points scored. He finished the game with six points on four goals and two assists to bring his career total to 258. Jack Renard led the Mariners with 10 points on a goal and nine assists, all of them coming in the first quarter.
