FLUSHING, NY - The Purchase College women's tennis team finished the 2019 season with a loss at Pratt Institute Saturday, falling by the score of 9-0.
Raquelle DeCicco (JR/Kingston, NY) came closest to a victory on the day, losing 6-4, 6-2 at #1 singles.
Isabel Biagiotti (SO/Highland Mills, NY) won three games in the #4 singles spot, while #2 singles
Sonja Boyko (FR/Babylon, NY) took a game in each set.Â
It was a tough end to the season for the Panthers, as Pratt (5-2) sweep three of the nine matches.
For the year, Purchase finished 2-10 overall with a 2-5 mark in the Skyline Conference.
The squad will be looking to bounce back next season and has a good chance of doing so, as the team had no seniors and will be returning
Bianca Harris (SO/Montgomery, NY) and DeCicco, who are the past two reigning Skyline Conference Rookies of the Year.Â
The 2020 women's tennis season is set to begin in September.Â
