Every Monday, the Sports Information Department at Purchase will select a staff member, new recruit or student assistant to highlight in our #MeetEmMonday feature. Today's #MeetEmMonday is Athletic Financial Manager Alexa Haines. 
 
PURCHASE, N.Y. – Capping off her first year as the Athletic Financial Manager at Purchase College is Alexa Haines.

Haines, assigned to oversee the day-to-day budget of the athletic department, has also become the face of the program's #WorkOutWednesday episodes. Starting this semester and in addition to her full-time financial role, Haines has put her personal training certifications on display with weekly workout videos for the campus community to benefit from.

Prior to Purchase, Haines spent a year at Div. II Mercy College as the Athletic Business Manager before joining Nicholas Agnone & Co., LLC in Westbury, N.Y. as a junior accountant.

Working at Mercy was a homecoming for Haines, who graduated from the institution twice, first with a bachelor's degree in public accounting and then a master's in the same field.

Haines was a four-year starter on the Mercy women's lacrosse team, where she finished with 134 points (79 goals, 55 assists). She concluded her notable career with a spot on the All-East Coast Conference Second Team after her senior campaign.
