BRONX, N.Y. - The Purchase College women's basketball team concluded its 2021-22 campaign Saturday afternoon, falling to the Dolphins of Mount Saint Vincent, 66-35.
Senior
Jules Martinez (Brooklyn, NY) closed out her career by tallying career-high marks in points (18) and rebounds (11).Â
Elsewhere,
Kasia Morrison (SO/Bronx, NY) added nine points and six rebounds, while
Miya Ritchie (SR/Harlem, NY) finished with eight points and two steals in her final game.
The contest also marked the last game of
Alyssa Aurora's (Ossining, NY) career, as the senior recorded seven rebounds and three assists.Â
For the Dolphins, Melanieann Broderick (SO/Bronx, NY) powered the effort with 28 points and 21 rebounds.
Behind Broderick's performance, the hosts led for the get-go, racing out to a 17-3 lead after the first quarter. By halftime, Mount Saint Vincent pushed that margin to 30-11, as they cruised to the win.
With the result, the Panthers concluded the season 2-22 overall and 2-18 in the Skyline Conference.
For the Dolphins, they finished 17-5 and 15-5, respectively and are bound for the Skyline Conference Tournament next week.Â
The women's basketball team will return to the court later this year in November for the 2022-23 season.Â
