PURCHASE, N.Y. – Misericordia hit .426 and knocked down 34 kills to defeat the Purchase men's volleyball team, 3-0, Thursday evening. The visiting Cougars took the match by set scores of 25-11, 25-12 and 25-15.
Junior hitter James Walsh paced the visiting offense with seven kills on 11 attempts and just two errors (.455). Connor Cusick hit a perfect 1.000, netting six kills on sinx attempts without a single error. Anthony DePalma also chipped in six kills (.600), to go along with a match-high five aces. Dylan Sellitti tossed up 11 assists, while DePalma and Conner Westerfield led the defensive effort with four digs apiece.
