KINGS POINT, N.Y. - The Purchase College women's lacrosse team was defeated by the United States Merchant Marine Academy Saturday afternoon, falling in the season finale by the score of 23-0.
With the result, the Panthers closed out the year with a 1-10 overall record and 0-7 in the Skyline Conference. As for the Mariners, they finished 11-2 and 7-0, respectively.
From the get-go, the hosts dominated play and never relented. In the first quarter alone, Merchant Marine tallied 11-unanswered goals, before extending the margin to 18-0 at halftime.

The women's lacrosse team will return to the field next spring for the 2023 campaign.Â
