Every week, the Sports Information department will post a "Did You Know?" tidbit to the website.
This week's interesting tidbit: Did you know that the Purchase women's tennis team connected on the courts with
HERO?
The Panthers spent Wednesday evening playing tennis with members of HERO (Help Expand Recreation Opportunities) at Anthony F. Veteran's Park in Hartsdale, N.Y.
Project HERO launched in 1992 with a mission to provide quality recreation opportunities for people with special needs.
Today, this not-for-profit organization continues to serve those living with autism, intellectual disability, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, visual and hearing impairments and mental illness, through adapted tennis, dance, movement/song, pet visitations and arts and crafts.
