BROOKLYN, NY – The Purchase College women's volleyball team fell on the road Thursday night at Brooklyn College, 3-0. The host Bulldogs took the non-conference win with set scores of 25-19, 25-9 and 25-14.
Brooklyn (2-2) was led by Aleah Rafat, who totaled 10 kills, five aces and five digs. Tessa Winkleman added eight kills, while Alanis Guinada paced the defensive effort with a match-high nine digs. Amra Mulic tossed up 24 assists to go along with three aces.
For Purchase (0-3), senior outside hitter
Samantha Fasce (Yorktown, NY) led with four kills. Senior middle blocker
Briana Thompson (Bronx, NY) hit a team-high .400 off three kills, while senior setter
Karina Medina (Brooklyn, NY) produced eight assists and five digs. Senior libero Priscillo Choo (New York, NY) finished with six digs.
Purchase looks to bounce back at its home and Skyline-opener next Tuesday (Sept. 13). The Panthers will play host to Yeshiva University at 7 p.m.
