FARMINGDALE, N.Y. - The Purchase College women's lacrosse team was defeated Saturday afternoon, falling at Farmingdale State College by the score of 18-0.
With the loss, the Panthers dropped to 2-9 overall and 0-6 in the Skyline Conference. For the Rams, they jumped to 6-8 and 4-3, respectively.
Alyssa Kozak (JR/East Meadow, NY) finished with five draw controls, a shot on goal and a ground ball in the effort.
Michelle Gomez (SR/Oceanside, NY) added two draw controls, a ground ball and caused turnover, while
Analie Ingalsbe (SO/West Hurley, NY) tallied three ground balls and a caused turnover.
In goal,
Casandra Schmoger (SR/Islip, NY) collected 19 saves, a team-high five ground balls and caused a turnover.
For the hosts, they opened the game with four goals in the first period, before scoring three more in the second to lead at halftime, 7-0.
Up next for the Blue and Orange is Senior Night, as the squad welcomes the United States Merchant Marine Academy on April 26.
