ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Purchase College men's soccer team opened the 2023 season at Bard College Friday afternoon, falling to the former Skyline Conference foe by the score of 3-1.

Luca Li Vigni (SO/Staten Island, NY) provided the strike for the Panthers, as he found the back of the net in 73rd minute, after collecting a rebounded save attempt in front of goal.

Setting up the chance was Ermin Mackic (FR/Yonkers, NY), who had one of his four shots on goal parried away at the last second. The ball then landing at the feet of Li Vigni for the easy tap-in.

The Blue and Orange finished with nine shots overall, with five being on goal. In net, Jack Gjokaj (JR/Thornwood, NY) collected eight saves in his first start for the team.

For the Raptors, they scored twice in the first half and once more in the 76th minute to earn the victory.
