BRONX, N.Y. - The Purchase College women's volleyball team rolled to a season-opening win Tuesday night, besting the Lightning of Lehman College in straight sets.
Score for the contest were 25-11, 25-15 and 25-19.
Lilith Bastek-Ochoa (JR/Sag Harbor, NY) led all players with 17 points in the performance, recording 11 kills and six aces.Â
Jessica Scott (JR) added five kills and a block assist, while
Ava Landreth (FR) collected four kills, a solo block and a block assist.Â
Lauren White (JR/Washington, DC) tallied a team-high 11 digs, while
Natalia Leite (FR/Thornwood, NY) totaled a game-high 17 assists.Â
The Panthers recorded five-point runs or longer in all three sets, including a 10-point one in the opening set, to create separation between themselves and the hosts in the victory.
In total, the Blue and Orange hit .146 overall with 27 kills to just 15 errors. For Lehman, they hit -.042 with 15 kills and 18 errors.Â
