PURCHASE, N.Y. - The Purchase College women's basketball team was defeated at Manhattanville College Wednesday night, dropping the Skyline Conference matchup, 93-31.
With the result, the Panthers moved to 1-15 overall and 1-12 in the Skyline. For the Valiants, they jumped to 14-3 and 11-1, respectively.
Individually,
Kaylena Phagnasay (FY/Fresno, CA) finished with a team-high 10 points.
Charlee Neb (SO/Longmont, CO) added nine points, while
Jessica McHugh (FY/Ellenville, NY) chipped in eight points, 11 rebounds and two blocks.
For the game, the Blue and Orange fell behind early and were never able to bounce back. After one quarter, they trailed, 18-5. By halftime, the deficit was 30 points, 41-11.
On the night, the Panthers shot 24% overall and 25% on 3-pointers. Meanwhile, Manhattanville compiled numbers of 50.6% and 31.6%, respectively.
Up next for Purchase is a road battle with the United States Merchant Marine Academy. That contest is scheduled for January 27th at noon.
