PURCHASE, N.Y. - The Purchase College men's tennis team secured its second-straight victory Tuesday afternoon, beating Sarah Lawrence College in a sweep, 9-0.
With the win, the Panthers moved to 2-7 overall and 2-3 in Skyline Conference action. For the Gryphons, they dropped to 1-5 and 0-3, respectively.
The hosts took each contest with relative ease, as they started the day with doubles wins of 8-1, 8-1 and 8-5.
In singles action, No. 6
Pedro Llonch-Vidalle (SO/New York, NY) earned the easiest win of the day, a clean 6-0, 6-0 sweep.
No. 2
Yuta Kawamura (SO/Old Greenwich, CT) secured his matchup, 6-0, 6-1, while No. 4
Oliver Culliton (JR/Boston, MA) won by the same score in reverse.
Up next for the Panthers is a return to non-conference action, as the team hosts Lehman College on April 20th at 11 a.m.
