BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Purchase College women's basketball team wrapped up their 2024-25 campaign with a hard-fought 67-59 road loss to Sarah Lawrence on Saturday afternoon.
With the results, the Blue and Orange finish their season 5-20 overall and 4-16 in the Skyline Conference while the Gryphons finish 6-19 and 5-15, respectively.
The Panthers started strong, leading 20-13 after the first quarter and carrying a 34-28 advantage into halftime.
However, Sarah Lawrence rallied in the second half, outscoring Purchase 39-25 to claim a 67-59 victory.
Individually, Senior Carlye Graff (South Nyack, NY) capped her collegiate career with a standout performance, scoring 27 points — including seven three-pointers — along with six rebounds and two steals.
Jessica McHugh (SO/Ellenville, NY) added 11 points, three rebounds and two blocks, while Charlee Neb (JR/Longmont, CO) contributed nine points, eight assists, five rebounds and two steals.
Off the bench, Kaylena Steiner (SO/Freson, CA) pulled down eight rebounds, scored six points, and grabbed two steals.
Purchase dominated the boards with a 45-33 rebound advantage, but the Gryphons capitalized on turnovers, scoring 28 points off Panther miscues.
With the season concluded, the Panthers look ahead to offseason preparation and building for the 2025-26 season.
