Every week, the Sports Information department will post a "Did You Know?" tidbit to the website.
This week's interesting tidbit is: Did you know that the Purchase College men's and women's soccer teams will be dedicating their matches against St. Joseph's University-Brooklyn on Saturday, September 27th to Morgan's Message?
Morgan's Message is a 501(c)(3) that strives to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health within the student-athlete community and equalize the treatment of physical and mental health in athletics. They aim to expand the dialogue on mental health by normalizing conversations, empowering those who suffer in silence, and supporting those who feel alone.
Ambassadors Annelise Durkin, a current women's lacrosse player, and Shannon Paulson '25, a former Panther and now volunteer coach, will speak before each game and host a table at the entrance to share the importance of Morgan's Message and raise awareness about the need to talk about mental health among athletes.
The women kick things off at noon, followed by the men at 2:30 p.m.
