BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - The SUNY Purchase women's tennis team cruised to a win Saturday, besting Sarah Lawrence College by the score of 6-1.
With the result, the Panthers are now 6-2 overall and 3-1 in the Skyline Conference. For the Gryphons, they dropped to 4-5 and 1-4, respectively.
On the day, the guests took control early and never looked back after winning two of three doubles contests.
Then in singles play, they prevailed with relative ease in four of six contests.
The toughest win came at No.1 singles, as
Amelia Perlmutter (SR/Rutherford, NJ) emerged with a pair 7-6 sets.
The easiest win once again came from
Bianka Grzesik (FY/Warwick, NY), as she took the No.3 spot - 6-2, 6-1.
Emma Van Dorpe (JR/Nyack, NY),
Alyssa Muschenick (FY) and
Sadie Killebrew (SR/Brooklyn, NY) also collected solo wins to life the Blue and Orange.
Up next for the squad is a return to non-conference action, as it hosts Lehman College on October 12th at 3:30 p.m.
