PURCHASE, N.Y. - The Purchase College men's tennis team was edged at home Wednesday, as Mount Saint Mary College prevailed by the score of 4-3.
With the result, the Panthers dropped to 4-4 overall and 1-3 in the Skyline Conference. For the Knights, they jumped 5-6 and 2-2, respectively.
While the Blue and Orange dropped the doubles' point, the No.1 duo of
Eli Palagatshev (SR/Yonkers, NY) and
Isaac Spottek (SO/Conklin, NY) still won, 6-0.
In singles, Palagatshev prevailed in the No.1 spot with ease, 6-0 and 6-1. Spottek also won, taking his No.2 match by the scores of 6-2 and 6-1.
The final win of the day came from No.5 singles, as
Pedro Llonch-Vidalle (SR/New York, NY) outlasted his foe, 7-5 and 6-3.
Up next for the squad is a non-conference matchup at Brooklyn College on April 10th at 3:30 p.m.
