Women's Volleyball Wins Third Straight

PURCHASE, N.Y. - The SUNY Purchase women's volleyball team won its third-straight contest Monday night, besting York College in straight sets.

Scores for the matchup were 25-8, 25-12 and 25-15. With the result, the Panthers are now 4-3 overall, while the Cardinals dropped to 1-4.

For the hosts, they finished with 21 kills on .298 hitting for the match. On the visiting side, they recorded 12 and -.023, respectively.

Individually, Natalia Leite (SR/Thornwood, NY) finished with game-high totals in points (15), aces (10) and assists (10).

Marcella Pena (SR/Bronx, NY) added eight digs and five aces, while Bella Colon (SO/Remsen, NY) tallied seven assists and four aces.

Up next for the squad is a road matchup at Saint Elizabeth University on September 22nd at 7 p.m.
