PATCHOGUE, N.Y. - The SUNY Purchase women's soccer team was defeated on the road Tuesday night, falling to St. Joseph's University-Long Island by the score of 3-0.
With the result, the Panthers moved to 0-3-2 overall and 0-2-1 in the Skyline Conference. For the Golden Eagles, they jumped to 4-5 and 2-2, respectively.
To begin the game, the two sides played to an even nil-nil contest as neither could find the back of the goal in the first half.
That changed in the second frame though, as the hosts scored quickly to grab the lead for good.
St. Joseph's ended up scoring goals in the 48th, 50th and 68th minutes to seal the victory.
For the Blue and Orange, they finished with four shots in the effort, including three on goal.
Lindita Selmani (SR/Brooklyn, NY) tallied two shots (one on goal) in the effort.

Jill Creegan (JR/High Falls, NY) recorded 11 saves in the defeat.Â
Up next for the squad is a matchup with Sarah Lawrence College on October 1st. That game will be played at Purchase and begin at 7:30 p.m.
