NEW PALTZ, N.Y. - The SUNY Purchase men's soccer team dropped a pair of games this weekend at the SUNY New Paltz Tournament.
Game One: Bryant & Stratton College 3, Purchase 0
The Panthers were outmatched in the contest, as the Bobcats scored once in the 36th minute to gain the lead, before adding a pair of strikes in the second half to seal the win.Â
Overall, Purchase was outshot 17-7 in the effort. In goal,
Ryder Lucas (FY/Penfield, NY) finished with eight saves.
Game Two: SUNY Delhi 2, Purchase 0Â
The second contest of the weekend ended much like the first, as the guests were outplayed late.
Both sides were tied at halftime, before a pair of second-half goals, one in the 62nd minute and the other in the 84th, handed the Broncos the victory.
Offensively, the Blue and Orange produced seven shots, including two on goal. In goal, Ryder tallied three saves in the effort.
With the results, the Panthers are now 0-2-1. Up next for the squad is a return home as the Panthers host SUNY New Paltz on September 9th at 7 p.m.
